I have had a passion for photography ever since my Dad gave me my first camera back in the 70's. It was a Kodak Instamatic. In college I studied art and art history, from there I started using my husband's 35 mm Minolta. I continued taking courses in photography and now I primarily shoot digital. Traveling has vastly broadened my perspective. I love to experiment with light and shadow, color and strong composition. In my work I focus on the ability to capture details that are sometimes overlooked, revealing the uniqueness of an otherwise ordinary view.
Leslie Smith makes her home in the Pacific Northwest. She lives in Bellingham, Washington with her husband and their mini schnauzer "Luna".
